Other than that, I love it. It's light and it keep you warm. I love the colors and cut. I'm happy with it.As title states, my first Carhartt product. Wanted a softshell typa jacket with DWR and this fits the bill. Was careful with the sizing — read plenty of reviews and true enough it fits slightly larger. Thus went a size lower.Couldnt be happier. Amazon's delivery came a week earlier than expected. Tops.Great top layer for storm clothing. Breathable and fairly light. Cathartic makes great products.I bought a North Face rain coat and then a few minutes later decided to get this one as well (both size small) I figured I would just return the one I didn’t like. This Carhartt mid weight Storm Defender was easily the better jacket. I knew before I even put it on. I love how it fits as well as the mid weight. I don’t feel like I need to layer it in the spring or fall and yet it’s still breathable for summer rain. The mid weight also makes me more comfortable so when it snows or is sleeting I can just toss a sweatshirt under it and be warm rather than changing into another jacket entirely. Over all probably the best jacket/rain coat I’ve ever owned or come across.Carhartt jackets are great jackets: well made and durable, but they run a size up and this jacket is no exception. This jacket is sturdy and would last forever, but I am returning it and I would size down, but was told the hood is way oversized on all these jackets. The hood is so large it goes down over your entire face and there is no way to correct it. Too bad... love the jacket otherwise.Overall a great coat. Nice materials, quality build, typical carhartt. Unfortunately fit is also typical carhartt, kind of a short men's utility/rain/maternity coat. In order to get anything long enough for my arms, it's big enough at the waist that it starts to become impractical. Ive tried the mediums, large, large tall, extra large etc- at 6 feet even and 170 pounds I don't have an odd build or anything, but nothing really fits well. There's just an awful lot of material billowing around getting in the way, adding bulk and looking silly. Still, no one else makes stuff anywhere near as durable at this price, so I'll keep buying it and complaining.So far it's waterproofing seems great.Love the look of this jacket….but way too big! I never right reviews and I would never follow someone’s advice to size up or down but this runs very large and I would definitely recommend getting one size smaller! Very baggy and too long in the arms. I’m like 215lbs and 5’8”Super fast shipping before expected delivery date, fits just as expected. I typically wear a medium, however I ordered a large to be able to fit a hoodie underneath and still have flex in the shoulders. I am 5'6" 195 and 46" shoulders, the large was perfect in the shoulders and a little big near the waist (to be expected). Excellent quality material, have not tested in the rain yet, but did wear this outside in 35 degree weather with just a hoodie underneath and was warm enough.
