This jacket is fairly functional for what is widely expected of a garment company with a reputation and history like Carhartt's. The main reason for the low rating is that the velcro on the flap that covers the zipper snags all of the non-canvas material on this jacket. My sleeves are badly snagged as are the drawstring for the hood and even the elastic band around the bottom of the jacket. After three weeks of gentle use, no washing or drying yet, this jacket is showing very obvious signs of wear. I doubt the elastic features will last long as they are already damaged. The velcro pieces themselves are also already coming off the jacket. This was a garment I expected to last me a good, long while with the proper care and it's already failing in several places.I returned this jacket cause I find it too expensive for what it looks like.This jacket arrived before expected. The fit is perfect and the quality is what you'd expect from Carhartt.perfect fit. great product. arrived fastToo short and sizes don't go to 2xx
